The team finally entered the gate to the Mushroom Kingdom and when they approached the two guards, one of them recognized them, bowed and let them through.

“Nice, VIP status” Tyler joked, he tried to walk through the gate with the others but the guards blocked him “Oh, I'm with them” he tried to explain, but the guards still blocked the way “Josh!, Vouch for me!”

“I don't know him...” Josh claimed, leaving Tyler at the gate.

“Anthony!, Come on, you've gotta help me out!” Tyler yelled at the Koopa.

“Sorry, do I know you?” Anthony replied, walking away, leaving an awe-struck Tyler at the gate.

“B-b-b-but, I thought I was going to part of this adventure!” Tyler yelled “Can I go in?, Please?”

“Sorry, we just have to make sure you aren't a threat” One guard replied “You don't seem like much of a threat, alright, you can go in” The gate slowly opened and the guards gestured for Tyler to walk in.

“Thank you!” Tyler shouted, grabbing the guard and hugging him tightly.

“Let....go....need air” The guard protested, Tyler put him down and he ran in to the town.

Meanwhile, Jon, Tim, Emile, Josh and Anthony approached the castle and were about to enter when someone stopped them, they turned and saw a blue haired knight behind them.

“Glad to see you all again” She said, Emile recognized her voice and ran over and hugged her “Especially you.”

“Charlotte!, I'm glad you found us!” Emile cheered “Now you can come with us!”

Charlotte pulled away from Emile “I'm sorry, I'd go with you if I could, but the Princess needs me here.”

“What?, You aren't going to be coming?” Emile asked, dejected, before Charlotte could continue there was a shattering and the mosaic window on the front of the castle shattered and a woman in black flew out with the princess slung over her shoulder.

“Who's that?!” Jon yelled, the woman looked behind her but didn't stop.

“It doesn't matter!” Charlotte responded “She's got the princess!” They pursued her and tried to catch her, Josh looked forward and saw Tyler was running towards them.

“Tyler!, Stop her!” He yelled, Tyler noticed who he was pointing at and shot a beam of light her way, the beam connected with her and knocked her over.

“Grab her!” Jon yelled, Tim made a dive for her, but she rolled out of the way and grabbed the princess again.

“I'll see you all later” She taunted, teleporting away with the princess in tow.

“No!” Charlotte yelled, slamming her fist into the ground “I failed!”

“Don't worry, we'll get her back” Emile said, trying to reassure her.

Tim looked deep in thought, Josh noticed and approached him “Something on your mind, Tim?”

“I don't know what it was about her, but that woman seemed really familiar” Tim explained “I feel like in know her from somewhere.”

“Really?, Was she here the last time we came here?” Josh questioned, Tim shook his head.

“I don't think so...” Tim said “I need to think on this a little more.”

The team went back to the castle while Emile tried to console Charlotte...

*In the mountains *

Donna, Lucah and Nick began to descend from the mountains to head to the mushroom kingdom, but before the made it to the bottom, a voice rang out.

“You know, you could at least say thank you” it said, Nick whirled around and saw a man behind them.

“Who are you?” Nick questioned, the man got off the rock he was sitting on and walked towards Nick.

“You could call me the man who saved your lives” He said, Donna and Lucah looked at him shocked.

“Are you the guy who stopped us from hitting the ground?” Lucah asked, the man nodded and bowed.

“You may call me The Trickster” He introduced “But don't mistake me for the Jester, He's long gone.”

“So, there's another clown in this world?” Nick said “Thanks for the help, I guess, but we need to get going.”

“Tch, Nice way to repay the man who saved you” Trickster scoffed “Didn't your mothers teach you any manners?”


“What makes you think you saved us?” Lucah questioned “How would you have known that fall would've killed us?”

“If it hadn't....” Trickster started “....I would've made it kill you.”

“......” Nick, Lucah and Donna were speechless, staring at the Trickster.

“Now come on!” Trickster cheered “We should get moving, I sense trouble in the Mushroom Kingdom.”

“...Should we trust this guy?” Nick whispered “He doesn't seem trustworthy.”

“We'll just keep an eye on him, If he's right about the Mushroom kingdom, we should follow him there and see what's up, maybe the others are there too” Lucah decided, they followed the Trickster, hoping he was right, and that they would make it in time to solve whatever problem was waiting for them....

Pokemon: Chapter 17: The Professor


Seth and Skyla were about to set out from Driftveil, Seth turned quickly and slammed into someone in front of them.

“Sorry about that, are you alright?” Seth asked, helping the guy up to his feet.

“Yeah, I'm alright” The guy answered “But be careful, alright?”

“Calem?, What's the hold-up?” Someone else asked, the other man approached and a man in a lab coat approached them.

“Sorry, Professor Sycamore” Calem apologized “I bumped into this guy.”

“Oh, Sorry for the inconvinience” the professor apologized to Seth.

“You shouldn't apologize, it was my fault” Seth explained “I wasn't watching where I was going, I'm Seth by the way.”

“I'm Calem” The professor's companion introduced “And this is Professor Augustine Sycamore.”

“Professor Sycamore?” Seth repeated, Sycamore smiled at him.

“I know, you have probably heard of me and all the illustrious research I've conduct-” Sycamore was starting to say, but Seth cut him off.

“Sorry, Never heard of you” He admitted, Calem and Skyla looked at him shocked.

“What?!, You've never heard of Professor Sycamore?!” Skyla shouted “What about all the research he's done involving Mega Evolution?!”

“Mega Evolution???” Seth parroted “What's that?”

“Rather than explain, how about a demonstration?” Calem asked, He threw out his first pokemon, a Lucario, he then touched a stone on his bracelet and the Lucario began to change, it turned into a stronger version of itself and got into a battle pose.

“Whoa.....” Seth marveled “That...is...awesome!!!”

“Mega Evolution makes a Pokemon evolve past its final evolution and pushs its abilities” Sycamore explained “But, only for one battle.”

“Can I use it???” Seth pleaded “Please, Please, Please?”

“Sure, If you can prove you can use it” Sycamore agreed “Calem, please give him the spare bracelet.”

“Here you go” Calem said “Do you have a Pokemon that can Mega Evolve?”

“Wait, I need specific Pokemon?” Seth questioned, Calem pulled a list from his bag and handed it to Seth and he read it.

“You'll also need to have the respective stone for the pokemon you have” Calem continued, Seth thought for a second and threw out his pokemon, Maylene.

“She may not be evolved, but will it still work?” Seth questioned, Sycamore put his finger to his chin and thought.

“We've never tried, but it's worth a shot” Sycamore admitted “We shouldn't push for results though, something bad may happen.”

“Alright!” Seth cheered “Maylene, you ready?” the Riolu cheered along with Seth and they got ready to start.

After getting everything set up, Seth and Maylene stood by a pair of training dummies.

“So, What should we do now?” Seth asked, he looked at his bracelet and noticed it resonating with the stone Calem had given him, while he was distracted, Valentine, Gabby, Kim and Ilune noticed him and went over to investigate.

“What's going on?” Valentine asked, Seth looked over and greeted them.

“Hey!, Where have you guys been?” He asked “Oh, and I'm learning how to Mega Evolve.”

“Mega Evolve?, You mean the theory of evolving a pokemon past its final evolution?” Gabby questioned “But will it work on a pre-evolved pokemon?”

“Seth is helping us test that very hypothesis” Sycamore explained “Professor Augustine Sycamore, by the way.”

“Wow!, Professor Sycamore!, The famous professor from the Kalos region!” Kim exclaimed “The man who single-handedly discovered Mega Evolution?”

“I definatly wouldn't say single-handedly” Sycamore replied “I had a great deal of help.”

“Anyway, Let's test this Hippopotas!” Seth cheered turning back to the training field.

“I think you mean 'hypothesis'” Ilune corrected, she then turned to Valentine “And you put up with this kid for days?”

“It's kind of endearing” Valentine admitted “He's almost like a kid brother.”

“You have more patience then I accpected” Ilune joked, they then turned their attention back to Seth.

“Alright, Maylene” Seth said “MEGA EVOLVE!” He tapped the stone on his bracelet and the stone Maylene was holding began to glow, but both the bracelet and the stone blew up.

“Hmm, Seems a pre-evolved pokemon can't Mega Evolve...” Sycamore deduced “But don't worry, once your pokemon evolves, she should be able to do it no problem.”

“Here, take another bracelet” Calem said, handing Seth another bracelet “The guru gave us multiple.”

“Thanks, I'll be sure to use it” Seth said, putting on the other bracelet.

“Well, looks like we should take our leave” Sycamore decided, looking at his watch “Come on, Calem, let's go.”

“Goodbye, both of you” Seth said, waving as Sycamore and Calem left, he then turned to Skyla “Alright, should we continue to Mistralton?”

“No, we're going to my plane, I landed it near here” Skyla explained, sending a shock through Seth's body.

“P-plane...as in, Flying...as in, high off the ground???” He questioned, Valentine grabbed his arm and began pulling him towards the plane that Skyla was leading them to “C-Can I just walk?”
